Unfortunately, some students have been using AI to write their course assignments. This is a violation of Woodmont’s Academic Integrity Policy and equivalent to cheating. It is gneivas da’as and unacceptable. Students who use AI face a range of consequences, from failing an assignment to dismissal from the college.

If a student is suspected of using AI, they will need to prove that they didn’t use it. Students must cite their sources in all submissions. When they write an original idea, they must support their idea with evidence.

We are changing policies in response to student use of AI. Students who use AI will get a 0 on that assignment. Additional use will cause the student to be dismissed with no refund.

As of September 1, students will only be allowed to resubmit an assignment once. We will not allow unlimited resubmissions anymore. If a student fails an assignment after resubmitting, they will not be allowed to resubmit to improve their score. Students who need help with their assignments can contact the tutoring office.
